Oakton Students Win at IDT Contest

Oakton HS was invited as one of four teams that participated in the Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) contest held on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Washington & Lee High School. The contest was held to support and encourage interest in computer science, engineering, mathematics, problem solving, teamwork and innovative technology among students from local high schools. The team, which consisted of sophomores Adam Ruffa and Kostyanty Proskuryakov, and junior Grant Golden, came in second place with a $750 school prize and iPod nanos for each student.
